Covid-19 Measures

As of 30th June 2020

Great news from the Government – Driving Instructors will be allowed to resume trading from the 4th July 2020, with practical tests phasing back from the 22nd July 2020.

This is great news for all of us, however, we are still awaiting information on the strict guidelines that we will have to adhere to during lessons. Once this is received I can put the measures into place to ensure we move forward quickly and most importantly, safely.

In terms of pupils, I will be in contact with you all over the next few days, please be patient as you can understand this will take a little while logistically to put into practise. I completely understand that some of you for safety reasons might not be comfortable with resuming lessons just yet and that is absolutely fine. I will do my best to re-accommodate you as and when your situation demands.

Lessons will look and feel a little different for the foreseeable future but please be assured that this will be for all our benefit, as my number one priority is keeping you all safe.

  • All pupils must arrive to lesson with a face covering that will not be permitted to be removed during the lesson.
  • Those of you that wear glasses can I suggest that you have a practice wearing the mask for periods of time to adjust, as I have been made aware that steaming of glasses can occur – we will also have windows and roof open (weather permitting).
  • I will meet you outside the car on arrival. Please arrive with masks on, where I will supply you with hand sanitiser. Once inside the car you can be assured everything will have been wiped clean as I will be doing this after every lesson and again when I arrive with you.

I know this all seems a bit clinical and perhaps a little overwhelming, but be assured that if any problems occur during lessons or you feel you need a breather from your face mask, we will always pull over safely and exit the vehicle for a breath of fresh air.

If you have any questions, please feel free to text, call or email me and I will get back to you asap.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

Paul
